Born in rural Gloucestershire, Rufio found his passion for music when he formed his first rock band in secondary school at the age of 14.
Four bands later he realised that his drive was greater than his previous band members’ and, relentless in his quest for eternal musical glory, Rufio decided to go it alone.

Over the next five years Rufio invested in a home studio and collaborated with a number of different artists and producers in search of his sound – a process which led him to find that, no matter what music he created, it would always have those same two elements of rock and soul which ultimately brought him to his sound today.

The next step for Rufio was to build up his fan base by showcasing his raw vocal ability. Word began to spread after a string of acoustic shows across London, and Rufio secured himself a place in the capital’s music scene. Bowing to growing demand for an album, Rufio released a free E.P titled ‘Over it’.

Rufio’s relentless gigging and the release of his EP spiked industry interest and reps began reaching out to the emerging talent. Not yet prepared to commit, Rufio concentrated on his burgeoning sound. He knew it needed to be much bigger; it needed to be loud, live and organic.

In January 2011 Rufio ditched his high-salary office job and moved to London in pursuit of his dream, impassioned by the idea of forming a band with serious and committed musicians.
He had no record deal, no job and no real name recognition. But he did have a burning desire to make it work.
Within two months Rufio had formed a tight, dedicated band and began writing and recording his new material.
Now performing all over the UK, headlining festivals and wowing the world with his viral videos, Rufio has barely begun to scratch the surface of his amaranthine artistic potential. But his confidence testifies that Rufio is on the brink of a widespread recognition.
